Job Title: Principal - Pre-K through Elementary Islamic School
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Principal to lead our private Islamic school serving Pre-K through elementary students in Boulder, Colorado. The principal will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous environment that aligns with Islamic values while fostering the holistic development of young learners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong empathetic leadership skills, a commitment to educational excellence, and a passion for developing a positive school culture for early childhood and elementary education.
Key Responsibilities & preferred qualifications:
Leadership and Management:
Provide strategic leadership to staff, students, and the community.
Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that reflects Islamic principles.
Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff, providing support, coaching and professional development opportunities tailored to early childhood and elementary educators.
Academic Excellence:
Oversee curriculum development and implementation appropriate for Pre-K through elementary levels, ensuring alignment with state standards and Islamic education.
Promote innovative teaching methods and the integration of play-based and experiential learning.
Monitor student progress through assessments and support teachers in implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
Community Engagement and Fundraising:
Build strong relationships with parents, students, community members, and donors to create a supportive learning environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and community stakeholders to keep them informed and engaged in school activities.
Organize and participate in major events to support fundraising activities, promoting school initiatives and community involvement.
Develop and implement strategies to engage donors and secure funding for school programs and activities.
Administrative Duties:
Manage the school’s budget and resources effectively and efficiently, focusing on the needs of young learners.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and conducive learning environment for young children.
Islamic Values and Education:
Promote the teachings of Islam through daily activities, curriculum, and school events.
Develop programs that encourage students' spiritual growth and understanding while integrating Islamic studies into the curriculum.
Encourage character development and social-emotional learning in line with Islamic values.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Early Childhood Education, Administration, or a related field. Related experience will also be considered.
A degree or certification in Islamic Studies is preferred. Related experience will also be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an educational leadership role, preferably in a Pre-K through elementary setting or in a private/Islamic school.
Proven track record of improving student outcomes, fostering a positive school environment, and successfully engaging with parents and the community.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capability to engage effectively with diverse audiences, including parents, community members, and donors.
Knowledge of current educational trends, curriculum development, and assessment practices for early childhood and elementary education.
Personal Qualities:
A deep understanding of and commitment to Islamic values and teachings.
Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Salary range between $60K - $110K depending on experience and qualifications..
